Physical Therapist or Certified Strength Trainer We have a fabulous staff that is here for you and your child's needs and we will create a schedule that works for your family. There are two options we offer and the decision is based upon your goals and whether you need to bill through insurance or not. Strengthening with a Physical Therapist 1:1 - The therapist will develop the program and work towards specific goals. Cost for this strengthening program is: $3300.00 ($110/hr rate) and this is billable to insurance.
Strengthening with a Certified Strength Trainer 1:1 - Individualized strengthening programs are done by a certified strength training instructor, with therapist input, as a maintanence program. Maintanence programs are typically done 1-2x/week. Cost for this program is $60/hr if a block of 10 visits is purchased and this is not billable to insurance. Not sure if your child is a candidate for intense therapy or strength training? Therapist evaluations can be done to give you more information and a thorough 'pre-treatment' evaluation. Therapist evaluations are required to begin a strengthening program. Evaluation cost: $175.00. Post-evaluations can be done after completion of the intense therapy and/or strength training for the same cost. Strengthening is offered in ten week sessions. Why ten weeks? Research shows that exercise/strengthening done 3x/week for 6 weeks results in no changes. Exercise/Strengthening done 3x/week for 8 weeks results in minimal changes, yet exercise/strengthening done 3x/week for 10 weeks results in measurable changes that were maintained for six months.
